During the month of November, in partnership with Agape Harbor and CASA of the Coastal Bend, we hope to increase awareness and provide education for our community about the children in the Coastal Bend who are currently in foster care and waiting for their permanent, loving families.

Support a foster or adoptive family through Agape Ranch. Register to volunteer for our upcoming Christmas Store (Dec) or our Leave a Legacy 5K/10K (Feb). Registration is also open for our Respite Care Training (Jan) to become a certified childcare provider to support foster and adoptive families.

Agape Harbor, Agape Ranch, and CASA of the Coastal Bend have initiated the “Sleeves of Support” campaign in conjunction with nine local coffee shops to increase awareness and provide opportunities for people to serve children in desperate need of love and support. “Sleeves of Support” will launch on November 11. November is National Adoption Month and it’s a time to increase awareness of adoption issues, bring attention to the need for adoptive families for teens in the U.S. foster care system and emphasize the value of youth engagement. Many of the children that are served by these organizations are in desperate need of a mentor, an advocate, a loving home, and a sign that they are loved and valued.

Local coffee shops will be using special, custom sleeves on their to-go, hot beverage cups from  November 11 to November 18. All the sleeves will include a QR code that will lead customers  to a unique URL that will provide the various ways they can serve local vulnerable children  through advocacy, support services, or by becoming a foster or adoptive family.
