May is National Foster Care Month. Believing that we are better together, Agape Harbor, Agape Ranch, and CASA of the Coastal Bend have partnered together with local coffee shops to raise awareness on the need for more advocates for vulnerable children in our community. During this national month of observance we seek to inspire the community to engage deeper and leave a better legacy for children and youth right here in the Coastal Bend. The reality is that many of the children that our organizations serve are in desperate need of a mentor, an advocate, a safe home, and a sign that they are loved and valued.
How can you help?
YOU CAN
Between May 11 through May 18, the “Sleeves of Support” campaign will feature collaborative coffee cup sleeves and table tents to raise awareness in the community. We know that, together, we can create a movement in our community to ensure that children are served with love as they seek to find permanency and their forever home.

Advocate for a child through our friends at CASA of the Coastal Bend. Start by attending a 45 minute information session held every Wednesday at noon on Zoom.
Foster and/or Adopt. Agape Harbor is one of our partnering child placing agencies that can license families to foster and/or adopt. They are the faith-based agency that serves the Coastal Bend. Register for the next orientation at Agape Harbor on
Support a foster or adoptive family through Agape Ranch. Register to volunteer at an upcoming program or event. Registration is also open for our Respite Care Training (August) to become a certified childcare provider to support foster and adoptive families.
