We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads, and we discovered that vulnerable children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health.
Agape Ranch stepped up and took the initiative to meet this need! Through the Agape Ranch Bed Build events, we are able to build beds that support vulnerable children and their families with a safe sleeping space. Our aim is to provide supportive beds to vulnerable families to enhance children's safety and help prevent foster care placement.
At these events, different stations allow volunteers to be part of the building process regardless of skills or experience. Putting the beds together happens through an assembly line, and no prior building knowledge or experience is necessary. Each station will have a station leader and specific instructions available.

Our 2024 goal is to build sixty twin size beds that will serve our community through requests from our partnering child serving agencies. Agape Ranch will provide all lumber and supplies while our volunteers bring their willingness to help and valuable time.
Due to potential hazards at this construction event, the minimum age to volunteer is thirteen years old. A parent or guardian must chaperone their minor at all times with a limit of two minors per volunteering parent.
